FORMER SECURITY CHIEF OF PRASANTHI NILAYAM SRI. CAPT. PRADHAN NO MORE (father in law of Col Shyam Pradhan )

 Col Shyam Pradhan's wife lost her father (his father in-law) -Capt CL Pradhan, on 09 May, he was a renowned senior pilot in the Cabinet Sectt and after retirement, an ardent Sai Devotee.

Former Prasanthi Nilayam security Chief, Capt. Pradhan breathed his last at 1:20 am on May 9th 2020, in Panvel, New Mumbai. Sri. Pradhan had prolonged, vocal chord/ throat  related ailment for which he was undergoing treatment in Mumbai. 
Born in Dharmasala, Himachal Pradesh, Capt. Pradhan was 80 years old but looked as though he was in his late 50s. He served the Indian Government, as Government Aircraft pilot, who flew all the top level politicians of India one can name, during his years of service, which only shows how trust worthy officer he was.
Right after his retirement, upon Swami's divine command he joined Prasanthi Nilayam security wing in the year 2000 and continued to serve our Master till 2019 until he lost his speech a bit. 

Managing a busy set up like Prashanthi Nilayam is not at a small issue. There are lots of co-ordinations, permutations and combination to be looked into. Swami had said quite a few times Prashanthi Nilayam is like a psychiatric ward and all of us would have definitely bumped into such strange characters in the ashram and  one can only imagine what kind of people, the ashram security has to deal with. 

During the darshan rounds in particular, Mr. Pradhan's task is the most tough one as some people in darshan lines could be so unruly and unapologetic, disturbing the whole darshan ambience by falling over people, leaning on Swami's path etc. Sri. Pradhan was a very vigilant officer who kept an eye on each and every " crazy" person in the ashram and brought them to task. Blessed are those who get such rarest of the chances to serve the Master directly and Sri. Pradhan gave his best to our beloved Lord.

I remember this incident very clearly which happened some time in the year 2001 or so, after Swami completely His darshan rounds, Sri. Pradhan used to  stand by the first pillar when Swami went up to the dais.  On one occasion, I remember Swami was distributing clothes to the staff and looking at Mr. Pradhan standing at his place, Swami came all the way to the pillar where Mr. Pradhan was standing and gifted him clothes. 
This would have been one of the memorable moments in Sri. Pradhan's life. 
He is survived with two daughters and his wife.

Let us all pray to Swami to give Sadgathi to Sri. Pradhan's already blessed atma. Even though i didn't have much of interaction with Sri. Pradhan, I respect him for all his dedication and devotion to his divine opportunity bestowed to him by our Lord.
